Lord Caitanya has ordered us to make a worldwide spiritual revolution:yare dekha, tare kaha 'krsna'-upadesaamara ajnaya guru hana tara' ei desa"Instruct everyone to follow the orders of Lord Sri Krishna as they are given in the Bhagavad-gita and Srimad-Bhagavatam. In this way become a spiritual master and try to liberate everyone in the world by enlightening them in the science of Krishna consciousness."--Sri Caitanya Caritamrita Madhya 7.128This was the reason I joined this Krishna consciousness movement. As a youth I could not stand to see the condition of the deteriorating global society. I knew the world needed a spiritual revolution and I had fully dedicated my life to trying to make it happen. I wanted that there would be a world where everyone was enlightened with spiritual knowledge and thus lived in perfect peace and harmony. But the problem was that I did not know what I was doing. I wanted to spread the ultimate peace of spiritual enlightenment, but I had to no idea of how to become enlightened myself, what to speak of how to enlighten anybody else.So, in the spring of 1971, as a learning experience, I decided to move into the Hare Krishna temple in Austin, Texas. I wanted to get an in depth understanding of Krishna consciousness. I was warmly welcomed by the local leader, a serene monk who was constantly overflowing with love and bliss, His Holiness Vishnujana Swami. They had a small temple in a residential neighborhood at 2906 Dancy Street, near the University of Texas campus. After several weeks of experiencing the Hare Krishna philosophy and lifestyle in their association I could clearly see that this was the highest knowledge available anywhere on this planet and that their Founder-Acharya, His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, was indeed that person with the vision and potency to completely respiritualize the entire human society.There was nothing then that made more sense than to become a disciple of Srila Prabhupada and dedicate my entire life for assisting him in pushing forward Lord Caitanya's spiritual revolution to every man, woman, and child on the face of this planet. The spiritual potency of Lord Caitanya is so powerful that even the plants and animals become spiritually uplifted by His Sankirtan movement, the movement of the congregational chanting of the holy names of God.So if you are looking for purpose and meaning in your life, all you have to do is do exactly the same thing that I did. Dedicate your life fully to assisting the spreading of Krishna consciousness all over the planet. You will become personally enlightened by the mercy of Lord Caitanya, and you will experience the highest satisfaction of being able to render to highest service at every moment to all living beings throughout the totality of existence.Join me on the front lines or be a support person.
