One of the greatest lessons from the Mahabharata comes from the Vana Parva section, called “Book of the Forest,” Chapter 313, verse 116. There it is described how the Pandavas met a Yaksha that prevented them from drinking from a lake unless they answered all of his questions. All but Yudhisthira ignored him and died. Then the Yaksha asked Yudhisthira a series of questions, leading to the question about the greatest wonder in the world, which was correctly answered by Yudhisthira on how everyone sees that we all must face death, but most everyone ignores that fact. So herein Stephen explains that story and what we do to prepare for our ultimate demise so we do not face it in ignorance, but so that we can enter it in the best consciousness possible for our next life.
