What is the business where we merely attempt to survive? The animals are employed in that process 24/7. We have been there. No need to play such old reruns when you have purpose.

With purpose there are principles. You have solid ground. You have an anchor. Otherwise it is a case of “a rudderless boat.”

That clear image from the Gita of a vessel where sails carry away operations with great speed is appropriate. The gusts of wind take the ship off course. You become lost.

My first twenty years were without a steering mechanism, though I admit that the Jesus factor played some role in directions. How far that took on such grand sails, it is slightly difficult to say! That tide brought me to the shores of Krishna and ultimately to Our Master, Prabhupada, the picture of you adorning the wall of the guest facility here in Montreal, is a captivator, offering comfort to my heart.

With the two days of Jagannatha ahead of us we beg for your kindness to make this a festival of joyful proportions. The hot temperatures are on, just as my fever for mundane enjoyment is always simmering on the stove. My request for a relief of hankering may gradually come to a finish line.

With great gratitude that stems from the frame of refinement on the wall, a print from Haripad.
