Bali has a Hindu population of around 85%. Most of the Hindus in Bali practice the orthodox religion which has been dated back for centuries. The ‘Student Community of Hindu Dharma, Indonesia’ is the largest Hindu youth organization in the island. The mission of this organization is to spread the fundamental teachings of Hinduism to others. In every province in Indonesia there is a branch but the headquarters are in Jakarta.
Although Hindus and Muslims live peacefully together in Indonesia there is a vast increase in the conversion rate of Hindus. To strengthen the faith of the Hindu community, especially the youth, the Student Community of Hindu Dharma started to actively preach about Hinduism to try and preserve this age long culture.
Nitya Lila das, disciple of HH Subhag Swami, was one of the former leaders of the Hindu Society at his University and is also a member of the Hindu Parishad. He is a leading manager in one of the most prominent Government companies in Indonesia. Taking advantage of his position and unique leadership skills; whenever he gets an opportunity he shares the teachings of the Bhagavad Gita to others. His main focus is the youth. He also makes time from his busy schedule to spend some time with students across Indonesia.

Nitya Lila das usually starts his presentations by discussing about the Ratha Yatra programs in Indonesia. In the recent years this festival has become so successful. This festival of Lord Jagannath has become very much appreciated with the Government of Indonesia. He speaks about how people of other faiths become enthused and enlivened whilst witnessing this event. This fact opens up the mind of the youth. Nitya Lila’s friendly discussion and pleasant behaviour has won the hearts’ of many. He also conducts seminars to working professionals also. Various Hindu youth groups and companies have appreciated Nitya Lila’s programs and regular programs are being conducted in Sulawesi, Jakarta, Gorontalo and Bali. In a recent program in Jakarta the leader of one of the biggest Government companies in Indonesia was so enthused by the presentation that he encouraged all his co-workers to purchase a copy of the Bhagavad Gita; 300 Gitas were distributed. It is the duty of every devotees to spread this transcendental knowledge as wide as possible, in order to make all the people happy by following the Lord messages.
