Srimad Bhagavatam is a medicine. It is like a medicine that will keep us alive. Otherwise, life will become stale. Life will become boring, like a zombie life.
So Śrīla Vyāsadeva’s contribution gives us the direction by which we can get out of this material world.
Otherwise, if one wants to stay in the material world, Prabhupāda says, if one wants to forget Kṛṣṇa, Kṛṣṇa will make all the arrangements, all the facilities, for one to forget Kṛṣṇa.
But somehow, when we come to the conclusion that there is no material happiness that can satisfy me, then Kṛṣṇa will make an arrangement for that person to become connected to Kṛṣṇa.
And Śrīla Prabhupāda is the modern-day Vyāsadev. He translated the main books. That is why Prabhupāda’s main service was to translate the Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam.
And he says that this is like the sun rising, dissipating the darkness of Kali-yuga. So this was his magnum opus. Magnum opus means this was his main work.
And the followers of Śrīla Prabhupāda are the emissaries, the messengers of Śrīla Vyāsadeva, by distributing Prabhupāda’s books.
