“I offer my respectful obeisances unto His Divine Grace A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, who is very dear to Lord Krishna, having taken shelter at His lotus feet. Our respectful obeisances are unto you, O spiritual master, servant of Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati Goswami. You are kindly preaching the message of Lord Chaitanya deva and delivering the Western countries, which are filled with impersonalism and voidism.”
Recently I was hearing one lecture recording by HH RNSM on the 50th Anniversary of Srila Prabhupada’s arrival in USA given on Vyasa Puja Day in 2015. Based on some critical points mentioned by Maharaj in that short lecture, I would like to write my offerings for our beloved ISKCON & BBT founder Acharya as well as pre-eminent Siksha-Guru Srila Prabhupada.
His Divine Grace always saw the opportunity in every situation of life. He always focused on the brighter side of all the calamities. He always remembered his beloved Lordships Sri Sri Radha Govind in all the obstacles came in his way.
In 1922, when Our Prabhupada first met Srila Sarasvati Thakur, he decided to dedicate his life in the mission of Lord Chaitanya and was very happy after being defeated for first time by a genuine spiritual leader (Simha-Guru)
In 1933, when Saraswati Thakur was requested to give initiation, he remarked, “This Abhay babu likes to hear from me. I will surely accept him” and he awarded Prabhupada with 1st and 2nd Initiation altogether at very same day.
In 1944, single handedly with no monetary support, simply remembering the instructions of his Guru Maharaj given on the banks of Radha kund, “If you ever get money, print books.”, Srila Prabhupada founded Back to Godhead, a fortnightly Magazine of the Hare Krsna Movement.
In 1955, Srila Prabhupada started League of Devotees at Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan in Jhansi and also made his first Indian disciple after 33 years of hard struggle. Later, when the Governor’s wife wanted the place for Woman’s Club, Srila Prabhupada who had already taken Vanaprastha left Jhansi to go to Mathura and assist his other Godbrothers.
In 1966, after suffering two heart attacks, having undergone life threatening incident at Bowery and later taking the risk of paying $200 per month, with handful of well-wishers, Srila Prabhupada established and incorporated International Society for Krsihna Consciousness
In 1977, after circumambulating the whole world more than 13 times preaching KC, Srila Prabhupada, while he was in Vrindavan instructed all his leading disciples, “You can show your love for me the way how you co-operate with each other” and after few days, he left this mortal world and went Back Home, Back to Godhead.
In nutshell, Srila Prabhupada always saw the INVISIBLE presence of Krsna in all circumstances, Srila Prabhupada always felt the INTANGIBLE mission of Lord Chaitanya through the instructions of his Guru Maharaj and Srila Prabhupada achieved the IMPOSSIBLE by saving countless souls from trading Royal road to hell.
I hope and pray that this unique name A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami will be widely recognized for tens and thousands of years.
