- Scriptures glorify that Lord Shiva is the topmost Vaishnava. We can see many references of this in Bagawad Gita, Bhagawatam and many Puranas.
- In Srimad Bhagawatam we can see the instances when Pracetas pleased lord Shiva very much. Lord Shiva appeared before them and gave them the Narayana mantra (Srimad bhagawatam 4th canto 24th chapter).
- Once a Brahmāna who is a sincere devotee of Lord Shiva asks for a benediction which is the best. Then Lord Shiva sends him to Sanatana Goswami. Sanatana Goswami gives the brahmana the best benediction (Hare Krishna maha mantra).
- In Srimad Bhagawatam 10th canto there is an instance where Lord shiva would be extremely pleased with the worship of Kuveras gardener (The gardener used to offer 100 beautiful big lotus to Lord Shiva every day). The gardener asks Lord Shiva to give the best benediction. Then Lord Shiva blesses him to take birth in Krishna Lila. In Krishna Lila the gardener becomes a flower seller and when Krishna visits Mathura he decorates Krishna with many beautiful garlands.
- Lord shiva glorifies Krishna. He is the speaker of Gita Mahatmya.
- Lord shiva is very merciful. He gives association to souls in the mode of ignorance like ghosts etc to uplift them.
- Of the 4 authentic vaishnava sampradayas Rudra Sampradaya is one. Lord Shiva is the first guru of Rudra Sampradaya.
- We pray to Lord Shiva to bless us with deep devotion unto Krishna and also bless us with qualities like austerity, love, simplicity for which he is role model.
