Scriptural Validation

Hare Krishna,Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada. Most yajnas are done to demigods, yes, some are done to Yajna Purusha, or Vishnu, but it is an indirect process in many cases... there is no general answer because Karma Kanda is complex and there are many many many instructions there. It is easy to slip up.Basically, the effects of Karma Kanda are described by Krishna in Bhagavad Gita...te taḿ bhuktvā svarga-lokaḿ viśālaḿkṣīṇe puṇye martya-lokaḿ viśantievaḿ trayī-dharmam anuprapannāgatāgataḿ kāma-kāmā labhanteWhen they have thus enjoyed vast heavenly sense pleasure and the results of their pious activities are exhausted, they return to this mortal planet again. Thus those who seek sense enjoyment by adhering to the principles of the three Vedas achieve only repeated birth and death. BG 9.21Best to take to Krishna's instruction to heart...sarva-dharmān parityajyamām ekaḿ śaraṇaḿ vrajaahaḿ tvāḿ sarva-pāpebhyomokṣayiṣyāmi mā śucaḥ"Abandon all varieties of religion and just surrender unto Me. I shall deliver you from all sinful reactions. Do not fear" BG 18.66This Karma Kanda is simply another variety of religion that keeps us away from Krishna for longer than necessary.Do you know the pastime of King Nrga? It is very nicely described in Canto 10, Chapter 64, or Srimad Bhagavatam.Have you read Srimad Bhagavatam? If not, please do start with Canto 1. It is completely beyond words what a great experience that will be for a person who really wants to know things as they are.Your servant,Mahabhagavat Das
