Prabhupada's evening massage was not as thorough as the pre-noon one. He wanted his legs massaged, squeezed up and down from the hips to the feet, then the feet and toes. At these times, Prabhupada usually spoke little, although sometimes he was prone to sweet reflections. This night was no exception. In the quietness of Prabhupada's room, the busy Ratha-yatra festival over, Prabhupada lay on his bed as Satsvarupa gently pressed Prabhupada's legs and feet. The lights were off, and Prabhupada appeared to be drifting off to sleep.
Prabhupada spoke up suddenly, "You were dancing nicely today". Satsvarupa felt surprised and thanked Srila Prabhupada, although his appreciation was more than he could express.
Satsvarupa Goswami: The fact that out of so many thousands of people and activities going on Prabhupada noticed me, and that he chose to remark about it late at night, gave me again more evidence of what a kind and considerate spiritual master he was. Of course, the only reason that I had been dancing was that I was posted to stand next to Prabhupada, holding his cane, and he was dancing! Prabhupada's words touched my heart.
