You are better engaged in Australia

Hari-sauri's month-long stay was over. Although he did not want to leave, many pressing engagements needed attention in Australia, especially negotiations in Sydney for the new temple. He decided he would return to Vrndavana again in another month.

He entered Prabhupada's quiet, darkened room in the evening, approached Srila Prabhupada lying on the bed, and gently touched his arm.

"Who is it?" Prabhupada asked.

"It's Hari-sauri," he answered. "Prabhupada, I have to go back to Australia because some things have to be done there .."

When Hari-sauri had first returned to Vrndavana, he had told Prabhupada, "I'm in Australia now, but anytime you want me to come, I can come back and do service." Prabhupada had answered him, "No, for now, I want you there. You are better engaged in Australia."

And now he had to return. "I have to go back because we are trying to buy this house in Sydney, and I want to make sure things are going on." Prabhupada gave a low "Hmmm", in consent. He raised his forearm and hand in the air, bending it from the elbow, and without moving, gave Hari-sauri his last instruction. "Wherever you remain, chant Hare Krsna." Hari-sauri departed for Australia.
