Final meeting

Before leaving for the airport, Prabhupada called a final, brief meeting with the temple leaders. Prabhupada sat behind his desk. Leaning forward, he looked intently at Yasomatinandana.

Yasomatinandana: I had been planning to return to Australia straight after Prabhupada left Auckland. So it came as quite a shock to me when Prabhupada gave me his last instructions. "So you must stay here in New Zealand," he said, "and take care of these people. There are some good prospects amongst them." He also told me that now the larger Jagannatha Deities were installed, I should hold a Ratha-yatra every year in Auckland.

Prabhupada also gave final counsel to Tusta Krsna Swami. He should build a temple, install Deities, and train his men to brahminical standards. Prabhupada wanted that they come up to the standard of worship as performed by the devotees in Melbourne.
