Prabhupada's association

For Srila Prabhupada there is no stopping. He is like the ocean, with a limitless depth of devotion that produces unceasing waves of krsna-bhakti. Even in his quieter times he overflows with Krsna consciousness. In the evening I went into his room and he was eating pomegranate. The half-eaten fruit was sitting on his desk, the bright red seeds exposed. As I reached out to clear it away, he said, "Just see, all the universes are packed up just like this, and the total is the material world."

I asked, "Are they packed up so tightly?"

"Yes," he replied, and then with a grin added, "The material scientists, what do they know of other universes? They cannot even estimate the number of planets in this universe."

In this way Prabhupada relates everything to Krsna consciousness and every statement he makes is significant and educational. One of the great things about traveling with him is that you get to serve both his bodily aspect and his teachings -- vapuh and vani. He is constantly preaching, and if no one is around then he calls in his servants and preaches to them. He is so enthusiastic to speak about Krsna. So even when one's mind is distracted, one cannot help but be Krsna conscious in Prabhupada's presence, simply by his association.
