On Speaking Strongly in Srila Prabhupada's ServiceThe servant should be as good as the master. That is servant. Because sometimes servants may be challenged. So that is the qualification of Krsna's servant. Krsna's servant must be always equipped, because they have to meet so many opposing elements...Practically the whole material world is full of duskrtam. They want to create God. They don't want to become servant of God. That is their challenge. Therefore, anyone who is claiming to become servant of God, Krsna, he must be well equipped to meet the challenging spirit of others. 750719SB.SFFollowing in the footsteps of Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu, all the preachers engaged in the service of ISKCON should be very expert in putting forward strong arguments and defeating all types of atheists. Madhya 9.51From the beginning, Srila Prabhupada was uncompromising: ''Surrender to Krsna is the only goal of life. All else is nonsense.'' Srila Prabhupada's everyday vocabulary was full of words like fool, rascal, demon, mudha, and nonsense. Interestingly, Christians trying to convert Hindus have the tactic of disclaiming Srila Prabhupada by referring to his use of sharp language. ''How can a person who calls others 'fools' and 'rascals' be saintly?'' they posit. But it is the duty of an acarya to speak firmly, as did all the great acaryas in the past. Some of them, such as Ramanujacarya and Madhvacarya, risked their lives to speak strongly. Real acaryas not only accept respect and facilities, but they stand up for the principles of the sampradaya. An empowered preacher does not simply speak vigorously amongst his disciples -- he goes out into the world to deliver the message of Godhead to the misguided population.Srila Prabhupada's own spiritual master was the legendarily staunch "Lion Guru," Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati Thakura. He declared "total war on maya" and preached so unreservedly that his enemies tried to kill him. Sarasvati Thakura shocked the intellectuals of the day by his totally uncompromising and forceful condemnation of everything that fell short of the standard of unmotivated devotional service. Many responded by openly questioning his bonafidity as a saintly person. Sarasvati Thakura replied in numerous speeches and articles, explaining why a true sadhu must speak strongly. He went on speaking contentiously throughout his life, not caring for outside opposition or even the dissatisfaction of his own disciples.- From the "My Memories of Srila Prabhupada" by HH Bhakti Vikas Swami
