When will any of us become as exalted as Prabhupada? And in the meantime, who is going to speak out against bogus avataras, bogus philosophies, bogus everything? Should we simply tolerate these things, smile at people, and think, "Tomorrow I'll say something?" Or maybe just make a polite, mild protest, as if presenting one opinion among many?

No! Srila Prabhupada repeatedly exhorted his followers to speak out boldly.

The people of the world should be taught to hear the transcendental topics of the Lord, and the devotee of the Lord must speak loudly so that they can hear. SB 2.3.20 purport
