When the soldiers risk their lives on the battlefield, the government is very much inclined to give them all facilities in their work. Even the citizens may be deprived of their comforts. So Krishna takes special appreciation for His devotees who are engaged in risking for His preaching work, and He will give you special care and guidance at all times because you are sincerely trying to serve Him in this way.
As the media gave more and more coverage to the devotees' cause, the controversy stimulated public interest. Harassment by civil authorities had actually increased book distribution! Reports were regularly sent to Srila Prabhupada detailing numbers of books and Back to Godhead magazines distributed, and Srila Prabhupada expressed great pleasure in his regular correspondence with Madhudvisa:
I am very much pleased to hear that you are distributing so much of our literature and books and I think if you go on like this, that very soon you will become the number one book distributors in the whole world. At least I want that.
I've already advised Caru in the matter of the legal business in Sydney, and I do not think there is any need for going to court and spending so much money. We are prepared to hold sankirtana on the street or in jail, it does not matter, wherever we are, we are able to vibrate Krishna's name and be happy. So gradually they will grow tired of persecuting us and just like in London and other places, we shall become established with our sankirtana party.
