Srutidharma Prabhu, as I reflect on your glorious life and departure from this world, hear the deeply moving remembrance by so many from all over the community, near and far. I will miss that kind smile the most and that nod of your head, those reassuring words you would share even as you walked past. You made everyone you came across feel cared for. Despite so many responsibilities, you gave your time when it was needed the most with undivided attention. From a moment’s association to sitting and speaking for a while you were so very present. You knew and shared that essential principle of pleasing Krishna and Prabhupada which is to serve, to care deeply above all else.

I was thinking about you describing that glorious day in 1977, when you arrived at Radha Londonisvara’s first home at 7 Bury Place and found yourself in Srila Prabhupada’s association on his final visit to see his most treasured Lordships. You told how you opened the door of the temple to welcome Srila Prabhupada. And now Srila Prabhupada has opened the door of the spiritual world for you.

The photo I share here was taken at a program, late summer in 2018. Srutidharma Prabhu would always think of others despite his own health struggles. He asked for a shawl for me to keep warm too and tea! As always so caring, encouraging and inspiring. Being in the presence of him and our dear Radhanath Swami can only be described as magic! Krishna’s magic! Thank you, dear Srutidharma Prabhu, for inspiring with your exceptional example to give this one life in Prabhupada’s service. I am so very grateful to you for your love personified that I and many others will keep close to our hearts.
