Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu appeared in Mayapur, situated in the land of Navadwipa by His causeless mercy to bestow what no incarnation has ever offered before: the most elevated mellow of devotional service, the mellow of conjugal love, to inaugurate the sankirtan movement and to deliver the lost conditioned souls of this dark age - Kaliyuga.
Since the time of Lord Chaitanya, Navadwipa has been a place of Gaudiya Vaishnava learning. In an effort to assist Lord Chaitanya’s mission, our Acharyas, especially Srila Bhaktivinoda Thakura, Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Saraswati Thakur and Srila Prabhupada desired that we establish Mayapur as an International center for sastric study. To fulfill this vision of our acharyas’ Mayapur Institute (MI) was established in the year 2000.
MI, has now embarked on an exclusive campus project for this purpose. Phase-1 of this Project consisting of Visiting Faculty Building, Kutir Classroom and a Temporary Kitchen is functional now. We are so grateful to all of you for your generous support which made it possible. Complete Campus will be constructed phase wise. In next phase we plan to come up with Ladies accommodation, Classroom building and few Kutirs. We seek your support to complete this project and offer it to Srila Prabhupada and all previous acharyas. |
