A lady came near my table. She seemed shy at first, but when I was done speaking with someone else, she walked up and took three Russian books. Her name was Camilla, she was from Russia, and although she spoke perfect English, she naturally preferred her native Russian. When she asked about the best way to meditate, I told her mantra meditation. She took books and beads and was on her way to catch a flight back to her home in Florida. In case she had any questions, I gave her Dvijamani Prabhu’s phone number. Camilla said she would start chanting and reading right on the plane. Not shy at all, I mused. Ready for Krsna!
Later, a really nice family approached my table. In the photo you see, the youngest lady was very intrigued.. When I showed her the pictures in the
*Gita,* she liked what she saw and heard so much she had me repeat what the images portrayed to the rest of the family. As soon as she noticed the
*japa* beads on the table, she said today was her birthday so she wanted to gift herself a set. After I taught her how to chant, she wanted beads for her whole family. To my surprise, each family member took a set and even happily took the time to learn how to chant. The icing on the cake: The birthday girl took a set of books for herself and the family, and together they all pitched in a good donation. So many ready for Krsna!
