The Ramayana is an ancient Indian Sanskrit epic, one of the most important literary works of ancient India. The Ramayana, is rather, a long poem and by tradition, is known as the Adi Kavya (adi = original, first; kavya = poem). The narrative is beautifully interspersed with philosophy, ethics, and notes on the responsibilities and ideal way of following one duties, that are beneficial for the mankind in this ocean of birth and death for liberation.
Ramayana leans more towards an ideal state of things: Rama is the ideal son and king, Sita the ideal wife, Hanuman the ideal devotee, Lakshman and Bharat the ideal brothers, and even Ravana, the demon villian, is not entirely despicable.
The incarnation of Lord Rama, lived his whole life by the rules of dharma; in fact, that was why Indian consider him heroic.When Lord Rama was a young boy, he was the perfect son. Later he was an ideal husband to his faithful wife, Sita, and a responsible ruler of Aydohya. Lord Rama has also been enamoured as Maryada Purushottam, as he taught the mankind the correct way to live life like an ideal human being through his conduct and approaches towards life’s challenges.
It has also given emphasis on the power of the name of Lord, chanting of which can bless everything imagined and unimagined.And moreover, it bestows the chanter with the true love of God in from of which everything else peears to be lifeless.
