🪷 Purpose of All Activities 🪷

The materialists they're very busy also, whatever they’re doing ultimately will not be beneficial in the long run. Temporarily, they may enjoy materially, but then more one enjoys materially, the result is more suffering. The more one enjoys the fruits of his activities, then the result, the tendency—if one is not able to focus on where the result should be offered to.

There is this verse in the Bhagavad-gītā: yajñārthāt karmaṇo ’nyatra

loko ’yaṁ karma bandhanaḥ.

So, all the activities have to be performed as a sacrifice for the pleasure of Lord Vishnu or Lord Kṛṣṇa.

And in Kārtik, it’s the best, because there is a wholesale offer—for even just your effort to perform bhakti, nava-lakṣaṇa, the nine processes of devotional service, which starts in hearing and chanting.
