Police in suburban Chicago have arrested a 19-year-old man accused of planning a mass shooting targeting people of Indian descent at a Hindu temple in Aurora, Illinois. The alleged plot, reportedly motivated by white supremacist ideology, was disrupted after a coworker alerted authorities to threatening communications. The area is home to two ISKCON temples. ISKCON Naperville’s Sri Sri Radha Shyamasundara Temple is located approximately 10 miles from the targeted Hindu temple, while ISKCON Chicago’s Sri Sri Kishore Kishori Temple is farther away in the city’s Rogers Park neighborhood. Neither ISKCON temple has been identified as a target of the alleged plot.
