The devotees greeted me at the Jagannatha Gaura Nitai temple in the Pasar Baru area of Jakarta. Srila Prabhupada came here in 1973 and stayed at an Indian congregation member’s house nearby. He did some wonderful programs.
I was able to come during Purusottama month and spoke about the auspicious significance of this month. This was followed by kirtan, offering of ghee lamps, flowers and of course nice prasadam. The TP showed me a nearby property that they were thinking of buying if they get the funds.
