More benches, more picnic tables, more gazebos. That’s more like it, dear city. What a great enhancement to the already existing green spaces. I made no real deliberate attempt to scent these parkettes, just chanced upon them, really. They are all within a five minute walk from our temple ashram. The count is one, two, three, four, five. That is quite good to have around in the neighbourhood.
In one of the larger parks - Ramsden, additional facilities are also laid out for the pleasure of the people. I see Queen Anne’s lace, a wild flower, flirting with the blue chicory, another wild flower. The chicory must be the king then. There’s a red cardinal, always feisty-hard to get it to pose for a pic. You see them in May, June, by July, often they’re out of sight.
Rain was another feature of the day. Nice break from the heat and forceful sun. Rain means “green”. Rain also means “food”. That’s there in the Gita.
My Wednesday zoom call connects me to South Africa where I associate with an introspective bunch. We are only on Chapter 7. One of our discussion study. I find it most relishable.
And for another high-light, I went to the bank to arrange for some inheritance funds to make available for new Iskcon projects on a loan basis. Jay ho!
These are my projects-checking out the parks, getting in some philosophy and giving laksmi a good place.
