P(reaching) out by Bhaktimarga Swami

13040570289?profile=RESIZE_584xI had just returned home from a full day of outreach. Yet once I stepped inside there was a sweet couple - very inquisitive. She is Caucasian and he is Punjabi. The Toronto Sunday Open House had completed, so things were relatively quiet, but this particular couple whom I saw were immersed in their own outreach, thirsty for knowledge. They were milling through the books on display in our kiosks in Govinda’s Dining Room. They eventually made their way to the upstairs quarters where I was just preparing for rest. I invited them in. We talked. They were aware of the Gita’s wisdom. In their hands were the books “Four Question” by Vaisesika, along with a copy of “The Saffron Path” which I authored and then personally signed. It was personally invigorating for me to see the interest coming from a Sikh/Christian background.

Anyways, the reaching out on their part was done. Let’s see where it goes to from here. Their inquires  about creation and why, were exhilarating.

My morning was a reach out endeavour also with members of the Bhakti Academy. We were on a venture to Cherry Beach to walk, to mantra meditate and sit and listen to a lesson on the Bhagavat truth as we sat in a circle by the beach by the aspens.

By 1 p.m. I was driven to a yoga studio in the Hamilton area. There we not only reached out but literally stretched a length. It’s yoga after all. Nice studio !

There was more to come. At Firemen’s Community Centre in Niagara Falls we conducted an entire Sunday Feast program and that was supremely enriching. Our hands and hearts reached out to different persons in different venues for the day. It was a day of satisfaction guaranteed.
