Lorenzo and I ambled along in the area of the Iskcon Centre, an area where you find a massive Catholic Church every two blocks, some of which are not doing well, attendance wise. My good friend Anubhava, earlier on pointed out to a towering church that is physically falling into decline. Personally it hurts to see these things going on. I would like to see various forms of spirituality succeeding even though these other denominational approaches are slightly different.

As love as they teach love and not hate, right ?

On a second round of walking in the district called Hachelaga, I was on my own. It was dark but night life was still fairly active. It’s not my first time noting that cafe’s and bar’s are open for many more hours than churches are. We are looking at simply “ the sign of times.” More times are spent in toxic affairs than in sobriety.

At least my day time was sobering with an intense meeting on admin responsibilities, presenting two classes on bhakti, plus leading some chanting. This is the Labour Day weekend when hardly anyone labours but enjoys the last of the summer before everyone goes back to work and school. People want to make the most of it. I’m glad to know that enough of them value Krishna Consciousness otherwise they would not come to our lively temple.

By the way, the feast food in Montreal is to die for.
