I completed my trip to British Columbia, and it was Norm who stood out in the end after meeting him a third time.
NORM
I met a man by the name Norm
At the time of a big snowstorm
Like most of us, he's no Plato
He confessed he'd become a couch potato
He'd been clicking that one-eyed monster
Switching channels slower then faster
His sedentary role made him quite fat
With 300 pounds all under his hat
One day he accidentally got electrocuted
Said it was a wakeup call not to be refuted
He made sure to take a change in direction
The mishap forced some inner reflection
For a turnaround he adjusted his diet
An agitated mind now became quiet
Exercise reduced his weight to 200 pounds
Which is remarkable in a full rebound
With the accident he lost his legs
Now substituted by bionic pegs
At 66 he's gone through an extreme
He tells he's boosted his self esteem
He's involved in helping all kinds of people
Loves nature including the coastal seagull
He lives on an island on the Pacific side
And accepts God as his personal guide
Norm is a guy who is really so kind
Active, human, genuine, all combined
