Question:
No Obstacles Greater That We Can Handle?

Dear Gurudeva,

In the 29 January 2011 message you said that Krishna "will never give us an obstacle which is greater than what we can handle". Please help me understand this, as I often find my current troubles to be quite overwhelming. Also could you please direct me to any scripture where this is confirmed?

Thank you in advance.

Hare Krishna,

Mahendra

Answer: Krishna's Unlimited Causeless Mercy

It is simply a matter of understanding Lord Sri Krishna's unlimitedly compassionate nature. The scriptures describe as follows in Srimad Bhagavatam 10.14.8 how a devotee deals with reverse situations:

tat te 'nukampāṁ su-samīkṣamāṇo
bhuñjāna evātma-kṛtaṁ vipākam
hṛd-vāg-vapurbhir vidadhan namas te
jīveta yo mukti-pade sa dāya-bhāk

"My dear Lord, any person who is constantly awaiting Your causeless mercy to be bestowed upon him, and who goes on suffering the resultant actions of his past misdeeds, offering You respectful obeisances from the core of his heart, is surely eligible to become liberated, for it has become his rightful claim."

So this is the key how to access the unlimited bliss of pure devotion. One simply has to have firm faith that in all circumstances Krishna is bestowing His causeless mercy upon His devotee to give him exactly what he needs for coming to the sublime transcendental platform of pure bhakti as soon as possible.
