NEVER BLASPHEME OR CRITICISE A DEVOTEE

Due to lack of knowledge people call devotees fanatic and blaspheme or criticize them. One who criticizes the devotee directly comes under the wrath of Lord. There are so many stories in our scriptures about this. I would like to narrate a small incident.

This incident took place in Bahrain . One of my Christian friend whose husband is a great devotee of Lord Krishna has been chanting the holy name of the Lord for the last 20 years. Life of big business man is always busy but he would make it a point that he finishes 16 rounds of japa mala daily. My friend though at that time was not a devotee of the Lord but was not against his chanting. They had a Malayalee Christain maid who was treated like the member of the family. She was so annoyed that how being a Christian he could chant the holy name of the Lord. She always criticized him for chanting and accused him for wasting his time. A devotee is always humble and tolerant so he always ignored her criticism. It was high time for her to see all this one day in rant and rave took the deity of Krishna saying that He is cause of all problem and went to throw the diety in the dustbin. My friend and her kids were so stunned and were helplessly watching her. As she was about to throw diety of Krishna in the dustbin she felt that someone pushed her and she fell on the ground with a big bang. Nothing happened to e deity but this lady got a huge permanent bump on her head.

Lord is equal to everyone but for His devotees He gives special attention .He never tolerates those who criticize a devotee or tries to be a stumbling block. It is only the mercy of the Lord that one can even think of chanting the holy name of the Lord. Fools and ignorant cannot understand the importance of the chanting the holy name and blaspheme a devotee who is in pure devotion like a fanatic. And one who commits an offense of blaspheming a devotee should feel repentant and ask for forgiveness and mercy . The devotee who is by nature very merciful will forgive the offender.

By mercy of the Lord now all members in her family are deep into devotion and are chanting the holy name of the Lord and are engaged in devotional services like cleaning the temple, preaching Bhagavat Gita and the importance of chating and engaged in other devotional activities.
