Yes it is not easy. But even working hard in the modern day companies and practicing KC is not easy. There is lot of contamination of the consciousness while working among the karmis, and hence not easy to practice pure devotional service. So, the choice is yours. It is definitely not easy, but also it is definitely not impossible
Dear Ghanshyam pr, there is a lot of land available in the villages and that too at much more cheaper rates compared to city. Yes, land is necessary. Srila Prabhupada says in the above quote, that one can be self sufficient, if he has land, cows and chant hare krishna. As you already have cows, if you can arrange for a small piece of land, then you can grow some grains, vegetables and get milk from cows and chant Hare Krsna, read Bhagavatam, preach to the neighbours, have sankirtan- which brings rain. So, this way you can be self sufficient. But all this needs to be done under the guidance of an experienced devotee and spiritual master. There are many devotees already doing this. Any other devotees are invited to post their suggestions regarding this matter.
