SI_Yatra_168_SriKurmamJune 20, 2011Srila Prabhupada’s life, the beginning of the Hare Krishna movement, and the progressive stages of the development of the movement, are very beautiful examples of this process of apratihata-bhakti (devotional service that cannot be checked by any impediment). When one is very determined, there is no impediment that can check devotional service. Certainly it may seem like there are impediments, because our devotion is pretty weak. But those impediments can instead be opportunities for us to become more determined, and even more determined in devotional service.Hanuman is a very wonderful example of this. Simply to serve Lord Rama, anything was a source of great joy for Hanuman, even when it was seemingly impossible. It’s completely natural for the soul. The process of devotional service is not something that is artificial. On the soul level, it’s completely natural. The sweetness of the divine relation between the servant and served on the spiritual platform is consummated by the practices of devotional service. From a lecture by HH Romapada Swami titled "Six Questions, Six Answers Part 1", Seattle, November 2010
