ISKCON Juhu is situated upon four acres of prime land and is a stone’s throw from Juhu beach. ISKCON Juhu is the official headquarters of ISKCON INDIA. In early 70’s when Juhu was considered a remote and obscure part of the city, to envision a temple rising here was beyond anyone’s imagination. However, fighting against many odds Srila Prabhupada acquired the Juhu property (which is presently Hare Krishna Land) and promised Sri Sri Radha-Rasabihari Deities who were then housed in small shack “My dear Sir, please remain here, and I shall build a beautiful temple for You”. A magnificent temple is built on this land for Sri Sri Radha-Rasabihari attracting thousands of devotees every day.
Mayapur Institute has been regularly conducting Sastric Training Programs at ISKCON Juhu for the resident brahmacharis and congregation devotees since about 10 years. Recently, Mayapur Institute conducted Bhakti Sastri Course for the resident brahmacharis. 20 students successfully completed 3 units of Bhakti Sastri facilitated by our teacher Atul Krishna das.
