This morning an hour and a half was set aside for an initiation of two devotees. From the U.K., now residing in New York, is Joseph, one of the actors from the night before. He’s a good performer, is intelligent, and shows lots of devotional qualities. His Sanskrit name is Jivan Mukta. Suneel is living here in New Vrindavana, is humble, and has a sweet disposition. His new name is Saranya.

A person from Nepal, Gambhira Gaur, received his second diksha, in the absence of Gopal Krishna Goswami who recently passed away. These initiations awarded to qualified people are a sign that the movement is moving. At the end of the ceremony, everyone was all smiles.

The MANtra retreat ended with a kirtan and dance session. It is a little hard to say goodbye to the guys from MANtra. There was quite a good spread of thoughtful male ISKCON leaders at the weekend retreat. Much learning and a sharing of good ideas occupied the space at this beautiful countryside location.

It was time to depart for home with competent Rasika Radhika behind the wheel. I am grateful to Anuttama, for the event, Raj as the project manager for MANtra, and others. Thanks to all the devotees behind our drama production of “The Jagannath Story.” On our journey back to Canada on diverse highways through West Virginia, Pennsylvania, New York and finally Ontario, we covered a lot of territory.

I cannot say enough about the virtues of the MANtra weekend. Those who attended had a very enriching experience, as did I.
