Lord Krishna and Lord Caitanya Mahaprabhu come to just “one” Maha-yuga out of every 1000!
A very rare event because this means they both come just ‘’once’’ in a 24 hour day of Lord Brahma
Also all Maha-yugas happen during the day-time hours (between Sunrise to Sunset) of Lord Brahma’s day. So this means Lord Brahma’s day from Sunrise to Sunset equals 1000 Maha yugas, also known as a Catur-yuga and Divya-yuga which are -.
Satya Yuga is 1,728,000 human years,
Treta Yuga is 1,296,000 human years long,
Dwapara Yuga 864,000 human years
Kali Yuga 432,000 human years.
And “night-time of Sunset to Sunrise” is when a partial annihilation takes place while Lord Brahma sleeps. There are also no Maha yugas during this night-time period.
So a “day and night 24 hour period” of Lord time equals 8 billion 640 million human years.
Lord Caitanya and Lord Krishna’s appearance is very rare as they both come just “once” over that enormous period of time.
Lord Krishna in His original Vrindavan Form, comes at the end of just “one” Dvapara-yuga out of every 1000.
Lord Caitanya Mahaprabhu come just after the beginning of just “one” Kali-yuga out of every 1000.

A day-time (from Sunrise to Sunset) of Lord Brahma day is 4 billion 320 million human years long.
As explained and important to understand, there are no Maha-yugas in the night-time hours between Sunset and Sunrise of Lord Brahma.
Lord Brahma’s night between Sunset and Sunrise is also 4 billion 320 million human years long.
So a “day and night” of Lord Brahma is collectively is 8 billion 640 billion human years long.

Translation
At the end of the Dvāpara-yuga of the twenty-eighth divya-yuga, Lord Kṛṣṇa appears on earth with the full paraphernalia of His eternal Vraja-dhāma.
Purport
Now is the term of Vaivasvata Manu, during which Lord Caitanya appears. First Lord Kṛṣṇa appears at the close of the Dvāpara-yuga of the twenty-eighth divya-yuga, and then Lord Caitanya appears in the Kali-yuga of the same divya-yuga.
Lord Kṛṣṇa and Lord Caitanya appear once in each day of Brahmā, or once in fourteen manv-antaras, each of seventy-one divya-yugas in duration.
From the beginning of Brahmā’s day of 4,320,000,000 years, six Manus appear and disappear before Lord Kṛṣṇa appears.
Thus 1,975,320,000 years of the day of Lord Brahmā elapse before the appearance of Lord Kṛṣṇa. This is an astronomical calculation according to solar years.

Srila Prabhupāda – “Oh. Anyway, I give you the right figure, four million, according to American or English calculation, (laughter) 4,300,000 years and multiply it by one thousand. Then what it comes according to English calculation?”
Paramahaṁsa – “4,300,000”.
Srila Prabhupāda – “That is twelve hours. And add again twelve hours, night. Then eight billion…? So Kṛṣṇa comes after this period. In one day, after one day of Brahma, He appears”.
Devotee – “Śrīla Prabhupāda, does Lord Caitanya Mahāprabhu also appear every day of Brahma?”
Srila Prabhupāda – “Yes, following Kṛṣṇa. Kṛṣṇa comes in the Dvāpara-yuga. There are four periods of each yuga: Sattva, Tretā, Dvāpara, Kali. So Kṛṣṇa comes at the end of Dvāpara-yuga, and Caitanya Mahāprabhu comes in the Kali-yuga”. End of quotes
So how do we understand all this?
We have to understand that a 24 hour day is divided into “day-time and night-time.
Therefore, it is emphasized that ONLY Lord Brahma’s 12 hour day has all the 1000 Divya-yugas (Maha-yugas) in it.
Therefore all Maha-yugas occur between “Sunrise and Sunset” during Lord Brahma’s day-time.
As explained, and needs emphasizing, there are NO Maha-yugas during Brahma’s 12 hour night-time
This is important to understand.
The 1000 Maha-yugas happen in the “day-time” (and take 4 billion 320 million human years to happen).
Lord Brahma’s 12 hour “night-time” period also takes 4 billion 320 million human years to pass.
When this “12 hour night-time” starts at Sunset, Lord Brahma sleeps while a partial annihilation goes on throughout Lord Brahma’s night. Remember, he does not create any Maha-yugas during his night.
So when you add up the “day-time “period of 4 billion 320 million human years and then the “night-time “of also 4 billion 320 human million years, you get the full 24 hour day meaning the “day and night” of Lord Brahma which is “8 billion 640 million human years”
When a new day begins at Sunrise the cycles of Maha yugas starts again at the beginning of each day at Sunrise and finish the same day at Sunset.
Then there is a partial annihilation between Sunset and Sunrise.
In this way Lord Krishna and Lord Caitanya Mahaprabhu only come “once” in a day-night 24 hour period of Lord Brahma which is “once” every 1000 Maha-yugas (that occurs during the day-time)
