LIFE AND DEATH DEBATE - LIVE RELAY.
( IN LIGHTER VEIN BUT A DEEP POINT OF INTROSPECTION )
Life : ( L ) : Hey! Have got a super promotion. Wow! Higher salary, beautiful sea face bungalow and a swanky latest model car. What more can I ask for?
Death (D ) : That's great. Hi ! there. How are you?
L : Oh ! My God! Arrival always at the most inappropriate time. Hi ! I am fine. Thank you!
D: You seem jubilant? Nice for you.
L : I am in the happiest space now.
D: How long? You are ephemeral. Then why do you get carried away?
L : Yeah! You are right. I get very frightened of you and your ways.
D: On the contrary, we are the two sides of the same coin.
L : Are you kidding? I am celebration and you are sadness multiplied manifold times. Very sorry to hurt you. Factual statements are quite hard to digest.
D: Do you like to possess a new bungalow?
L : Yes!
D: Swanky new car ?
L : Yes to all your questions... You heard me right in the beginning. Am not a parrot to keep repeating. I have better things to do.
D: Do you hate disease?
L : Who will not?
D: Do you like to get old?
L : Who in the right brains would like to? Least of all myself. You are preposterous!
D: I come to take away the old and to infuse the new. The soul within you only migrates to a new vibrant body. What is then, the cause of your lamentation and grief.
L : When you approach, everyone is enveloped in darkness , sorrow and doom.
D: You are wrong once again. You do not train yourself, as also your near and dear ones, that to celebrate the final departure is a way to happiness, freedom and a fresh entry into another physical brand new case. Why do you wallow in grief when you love everything new and discard the old?. The old diseased body is discarded and in its place ,a new one is gifted to start fresh all over again. To enjoy.....seek.........and to explore........
L : But it hurts to see the permanent separation of our near and dear ones. Not as easy as you think. Its very easy for you to rattle about your greatness and your necessity.
D: But not impossible either . It is million times better, than to see them suffer day in and day out. What about you? Are you everlasting? Today, you are crying for someone, tomorrow someone will cry over you and then once again..........Absolutely futile.
L : Then what to do? You know better for you are the cause of our distress and gloom.
D: Whilst you are here Enjoy..Forgive.. Forget..Contribute. Give back.. Preserve.. Live life to the fullest... No regrets on hindsight. Appreciate the various beautiful colours of life , in them we live our emotions. Time is fleeting. It is now or never.
L : Makes sense. Ok ! Let me, from this moment itself, merrily dance to the tunes of love and care, enjoy the vast beautiful flora and fauna, the brightest sunrise, the melodious chirping of the birds, the countless colours, shapes and shades of the flowers , mountains and the rains, the vast expanse above is my roof, my legs are my vehicles which will take me around to view and enjoy nature's magnificent bounty. Hey! all this costs nothing at all. TOTALLY FREE!. Now is the time to realize and laugh, to share and care, to be with family and friends, to pray and congratulate that we have a life free from all worries , stress and strife. TO BE IS A BLESSING !Thanks a lot D, you have brushed aside my ignorance.
D: Hey ! you have started to write a long composition. We are debating and not writing a boring story. And what about the bungalow by the sea side, the swanky car.........
L : D I have not become a hermit yet! I will enjoy those too, along side with the simplest pleasures of life, for both are inclusive and mutually compatible but with a difference this time, that all that is given to me is a gift, I am not the owner but a tourist and a custodian, who has to return back everything whilst I leave.
D: Thank God ! Could make you see sense that you and I are one. When you are there , I lurk in the background and when i surface you disappear. GOT IT? I am leaving now. High time, I am late.
L : Will you come once again for delivering your sermons?. ( with a mocking expression)
D: Yes! sure. I have to do my task allocated to me. Do not please doubt this.
L : ( with worry ) When will you come back?
D: SUSPENSE. I never knock the doors in advance.
L : Thank God for the smallest mercies and the biggest ones too. Bye D.
D: Adieu! till we meet
L : Take your own time D. No hurry. Can fully understand your extremely busy schedule of ferrying people from down to upwards . Let me till then, after this heavy dose, drive my swanky car, buy the diamond ring, travel round the world, buy two bungalows in Beverly Hills, and accumulate more for my children and secure their future and the list is endless endless endless.......
D: L, I am still there, please don't forget to enjoy the vast velvety spread of sparkling stars above, they are more beautiful ,infinite, all pervading and bring greater joy than your diamond ring which is so small and finite.
ABOVE ALL , PLEASEALWAYS REMEMBER WITH THE HIGHEST GRATITUDE, OUR MOST BELOVED LORD SRI KRISHNA'S ABUNDANCE GRACE, COMPASSION AND OCEANIC LOVE FOR US. PLEASE CHANT HIS HOLIEST OF HOLY NAMES, AT ALL TIMES AND FOREVER SURRENDER AND VERY LOVINGLY SERVE ,UNTO HIS DIVINE MOST LOTUS FEET, THE ONLY PLACE TOTALLY FREE FROM ALL MATERIAL CONTAMINATION FILLED WITH JOY, GOODNESS AND TRUTH
