Dear devotees, disciples, and well-wishers of H.H. Jayapatāka Swami Mahārāja, Please accept our humble obeisances. All glories to Śrīla Prabhupāda.
We wish to share with you how Guru Mahārāja has been over the past day.
It has been an encouraging period. Guru Mahārāja has been quite well and very much himself — active and engaged. He even began speaking about giving initiations. By Mahāprabhu’s grace, we were able to see him settle into a level of stability that we had not observed for some time. Once the doctors began gentle support for his kidneys along with the right medicines to fight the infection, several aspects of his condition improved quite quickly.
There is more welcome news to share. Guru Mahārāja is awake and interactive, and today he was able to sit in a wheelchair for some time — a very heartening sign of his returning strength. The signs of infection and inflammation in his body have been gradually coming down, and blood tests continue to show no bacteria growing in the bloodstream. For now, the medical team is wisely avoiding any invasive steps and simply continuing to watch him closely.
We humbly remind everyone that Guru Mahārāja is still being cared for on several fronts at once — the infection, a bedsore, breathing support, and support for his kidneys. Each of these is delicately balanced, and even a small change in one can affect the others. So while we are grateful for these signs of improvement, the doctors continue to monitor him carefully, and Guru Mahārāja continues to depend upon the loving prayers of his devotees at every step.
In this spirit, we humbly request all devotees, disciples, and well-wishers to continue offering heartfelt prayers to Śrī Śrī Rādhā Mādhava and Lord Nṛsiṁhadeva that Guru Mahārāja’s improvement may continue steadily, that the infection may fully subside, that he remain protected from any further complications, and that he continue to grow in strength each day.
