Once a man, while walking by the seashore with God, saw two sets of footprints on the sand, one being his footprints and one of God but at some points he saw only one set and asked God did God leave him at some point. God smilingly replied,"When you saw only one set of footprints it was Me who carried you in dark and troublesome times and those were My footprints. I can never leave you My son." The man was ashamed and asked God for forgiveness. Moral: It is we who have forgotten God since time immemorial but God is our constant companion. We may leave Him due to the illusory maya's attractive potency but He never leaves us and is ever eager to take us back to Him to enjoy eternally. Hare Krishna. All glories to Krishna.
