Krishna Kids, an independent children’s education project led by Damodar-Priya Devi Dasi, released a 13-minute puppet biography of ISKCON Founder-Acharya His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada in English and Spanish in August 2026. The video joins a free YouTube library and monthly Zoom classes for children ages four to nine, priced at US$5 per family, while addressing what she calls limited access to Spanish-language Krishna conscious material for children. An August 8 Zoom class featured the story. The release also includes English and Spanish versions of a visual song about Prabhupada’s 1965 voyage aboard the freighter Jaladuta.
From Sunday School to an Online Platform
Krishna Kids operates independently of any single ISKCON temple or ministry, although its founder’s teaching history runs through several institutions. Damodar-Priya began teaching Sunday school at the Bhakti Center in Manhattan in 2017 after attending classes at ISKCON’s historic 26 Second Avenue storefront. She later served at the ISKCON Alachua temple and Bhaktivedanta Academy before shifting online during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Born in Colombia and raised in New York City, Damodar-Priya holds a master’s degree in literacy and trained as an educator before establishing Krishna Kids. Her husband, Gopal Das, taught for 13 years before moving into other work. He now scans artwork, prepares activity sheets, and manages recording and script review, while she researches, writes, draws, and presents.
