The Bhadra Campaign is a global effort to increase appreciation for the Srimad Bhagavatam through mass distribution via donation of sets on the occasion of Bhadra Purnima, 24/25 September 2018.
*How you can be involved:*
. You can begin taking pledges for donating Srimad Bhagavatam sets from your congregation starting now; the actual donation can happen on Bhadra Purnima date.
. You could organize special programs at your temple to glorify the Srimad Bhagavatam in the weeks leading up to Bhadra Purnima and encourage everyone to donate sets.
. To further inspire your congregation, we urge you to set a specific temple goal, i.e., the number of sets to be distributed at your temple as part of the Bhadra Campaign.
*How we will support:*
. We will give you banners and posters which you can put up at your temple to advertise to your congregation. Please see the poster (.jpeg) attached with this email.
. We will also send you videos from ISKCON leaders about the glories and benefits of donating, owning, and reading Srimad Bhagavatam, which you can forward to your congregation on all social media. Please see the video attached with this email.
. If you are interested, our team can visit your temple to provide in-depth training to devotees on how to distribute Srimad Bhagavatam.
. We have regional representatives spread across India who can provide more training and guidance; please let us know if you want to join this team.
*More about the Bhadra Campaign:*
. The Bhadra Campaign started in 2017 as part of the global Go Matsya initiative led by HG Vaisesika Prabhu (NA BBT) and HG Satyanarayana Prabhu
(BBT Europe) to preserve and propagate the Vedic literatures through widespread distribution.
. In Srimad Bhagavatam 12.13.13, Srila Sukadeva Goswami states: *”If on the full moon day of the month of Bh_dra one places ®r.mad-Bh_gavatam on a golden throne and gives it as a gift, he will attain the supreme transcendental destination.”*

*There is a worldwide campaign to increase the distribution of Srimad Bhagavatam sets. Previously, we had done this since the Bhagavatam glorifies the Bhadra Purnima. Recently, ISKCON Silicon Valley (ISV) headed by Vaisesika Prabhu restarted this initiative. *
*The initiative is known as the Bhadra Campaign and based on a verse from Srimad Bhagavatam. Srimad Bhagavatam canto 12 chapter 13 verse 13 it says: **If on the full moon day of the month of Bhadra one places Srimad Bhagavatam on a golden throne and gives it as a gift, he will attain the supreme transcendental destination. *
*The idea is to inspire persons to take a set and donate to others and receive the blessings of Sukadeva Goswami’s benediction. Last year, ISV was able to distribute 112 sets, Chicago 47, Toronto 45, Naperville 42 and Juhu 35. Juhu only had two days preparation. *
*The India BBT is working with an International team to develop and promote the Bhadra Purnima Srimad Bhagavatam set distribution campaign. This year, Bhadra Purnima is on September 25th.*
*I request all the temples in my zones to participate in this campaign to distribute sets of Srimad Bhagavatam for the pleasure of Srila Prabhupada. Sets of Srimad Bhagavatam going out from all our centers will bring me great joy because I know it pleases Srila Prabhupada very much. *
