The mind questions, “When things happen, are they accidental, coincidental, providential, or divine interventional?” I believe all words can apply, but I would say that the phrase ‘no blade of grass moves without the will of the Lord’ bears good faith, trust, and love behind it.

I boarded the plane in the morning on the airline called Lynx (my first time) and wiggled my way through its one aisle to my destination, seat 12F at the window. A young woman from Great Save Lake, Alberta, was at the aisle seat in row 12. She graciously got up to make way for me to settle. She was dressed for trekking. We got to talking, which is how i knew where her home is. Furthermore, I found out she was flying east to walk that challenging East Coast Trail for a distance of 200 kilometres.

Naturally, I told her of my treks through countries, and having some experience with that marvellous and scenic coastal trail she was about to embark upon. From that moment of meeting her, she happily clung to my walking party. It was from the St. John's airport that friend, Jan Peters, drove up to Quidi Vidi Lake for a pleasant walk just less than 7 kilometres to near the famous Signal Hill where the first ever telegram message was received on this planet.

The Walking party arranged by Jan, which is usual when I come, all bonded with Jennifer and each other. It was foggy out, but we were all clear headed. A local chap was clear about the day along the trail, Cokaulds Cove, where he braved a cold dip and a swim in the pond. I say ‘brave’ because it was only 7 degrees Celsius, and being overcast is what the sky held for us.

At the Lotus Yoga centre, we chanted, spoke, and sold my book, The Saffron Path to attendees for Father's Day gifts.
