Corona Food Relief
Initial Lockdown – 21 days
ISKCON – Trivandrum
ISKCON distributed food for 19 days out of 21 days initial Lockdown. Everyday almost 1000 food packets and water bottles were distributed.
Mainly this service was done with cooperation of Kerala police. They were working tirelessly in the hot sun. Many of our police friends were explaining about the struggle and the situation of migrants. Community kitchen were not established at that time. Gradually demand for the sanctified vegetarian food increased and we were giving out 1000 packets and water bottles. Food packets were distributed to police, migrants, securities, recruites & Sripadmanaba Swamy security staff.
Also we supplied grains to pallichal and kalliyoor panchayats for their community kitchen.
In the meantime we came to know that the cows in few Goshalas were running out of feeds. Few trucks of cattle feeds were also supplied.
