"ISKCON should do this.... that...."

One of the very senior devotee, HG Akrura Prji from UK write the following amazing insight in his blog:

 

Devotees sometimes come to me and tell me, "ISKCON should do this. ISKCON should do that."

I say: "What is ISKCON? Who is ISKCON? I think YOU are ISKCON - therefore YOU should do what you think ISKCON should do. It is everyone's responsibility to make ISKCON as Prabhupada wanted it. It is not only current leaders' responsibility."

 

Truly said prabhuji.

Let us all learn to stop blaming and complaining about authorities... And become a true ISKCONite...

    Jai Srila Prabhupada!

    Truly said HG Bhaktavastal Prabhuji. I am specially attracted by the cow-products very recently and how its taking shape in our glorious ISKCON Movement. Devotees are gradually realising the importance of Cow protection along with Varnashrama. Progress may be slow but significant.
    All Glories to the trieless efforts of the devotees pushing on the movement given by Srila Prabhupada. Hare Krishna!

    To establishment of "Daivya Varnsramadharma, through establish" Virndavan Village, all problems of ISKCON should do this or that will be solved. As Srila Prabhupada," Unless in the human society the varnasrma system is  introduce, no schem or social order, health order,or any order, political order, will be successful.( Oct, 18,1977,Virndavan).

    And varnasrama centered around the cow( letter to Tejious Prabhu, 1976, Hyderabad).

    So, now burning need is protect cow by any means, all problems will solve and this is the top most duty of ISKCON in present time.

    I remember some 23 years ago, I said something very similar to a devotee at the Sri Sri Radha Govinda Temple in Brooklyn New York. I aksed him; "why don't I see the Hare Krishna's in the streets of the city as I did some years earlier?" His answer was just like yours was. He said, in essence, "why don't you do it?" I knew in that moment that I was "busted." I knew that I had to do my part in spreading this Krishna consciousness movement. So in many ways, both large and small, I have been propagating Krishna consciousness for the past 23 years. So, people need to be reminded of this point, and I am glad that you are doing that. Because it worked on me. Hari Bol! Ki`JAI!
