ISKCON Sacramento recently held a Devotee Care Course from September 13th to 15th, 2024, facilitated by Radha Gopinath Das and Damodar Das. The event, which was attended by 15 participants, was designed to deepen their understanding of the role of devotee care in sustaining a loving and vibrant spiritual community.

Throughout the three-day course, the facilitators explored key insights into what it truly means to care for others within the ISKCON community. Participants were introduced to a framework of principles divided into three core lessons: understanding devotee care, leadership in devotee care, and mastering the skills essential to caregiving.

In the first lesson of the course, participants gained a clear understanding of the definition, scope, and significance of Devotee Care within ISKCON. The lesson concluded that Devotee Care is essential to the long-term growth and harmony of the community. Srila Prabhupada always emphasized the importance of cooperation among devotees. Such a spirit can be fostered when we sincerely care for and support one another.
