ISKCON of Houston marked a significant milestone on Saturday, June 13, 2026, hosting its ISKCON’s 60th Anniversary Gala at the beautiful ISKCON of Houston temple complex. The celebratory event drew more than 275 guests, including the Honorable Consul General of India, Mr. D. C. Manjunath, Giriraj Swami and Hanumat Presaka Swami, prominent community and organization leaders, government officials, and ISKCON well-wishers.
The evening began with a warm reception and hors d’oeuvres in the extended temple hall, allowing attendees to network, tour the facilities, and learn more about ISKCON’s mission. The main program, held in the elegantly decorated cultural hall, opened with an invocation prayer featuring devotional music performed by the local ISKCON youth group, followed by a traditional Diya (lamp) lighting ceremony symbolizing spiritual awakening and divine blessings. Honorable Consul General of India, Mr. D.C. Manjunath, and Houston Temple President, Saranga Thakur Das, delivered special remarks. A video presentation honoring the life and legacy of ISKCON’s Founder-Acharya, Srila A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, was a highlight of the program.
