All glories to Srila Prabhupad.All glories to Sri Guru and Gauranga.I beg to draw your attention towards a very serious development that threatens the very existence of Sri Sri Radha Govind Temple, ISKCON, Kolkata.Sri Sri Radha Govind temple (the ISKCON temple at Kolkata, India) is under threat of being demolished. This ISKCON temple exists on the left half of the Castle Corner (a building that was so called during the Britisher's time). The right half of this building is owned by one Mr. Singh Roy. A greedy promoter, Mr. Nandu Belani, owner of Belani Housing Pvt. Ltd, has entered into a development agreement with Mr. Singh Roy, which requires the demolition of right half of this building. Owing to its age old construction, the building is already in a worn out and shaky condition. If the right half of this building is demolished, the left half (i.e. the temple itself) wouldn't be able to stand by itself as both the halves share common foundations. Consequently, the entire structure would collapse and the temple will be lost for ever. Srila Prabhupad, the founder acharya of ISKCON, personally resided on this property. All the devotees worldwide are aggrieved by this development.In the recent past, Mr's Belani's gundas have attacked devotees several times and tried to create fear among them. Here are some of the recent incidents that occured :1. The gundas broke the window pane of the deity dress rooms of Sri Sri Radha Govind.2. They threw petrol and grease on the front gate of our temple.3. For last one year these people have removed doors, windows and plaster in the other half of the building that has increased the risk of collapse.4. These people are also planting trees on the roof of the building to facilitate the demolition.We, on the behalf of Sri Sri Radha Govind Mandir, ISKCON Kolkata, request all the devotees from India and worldwide to revert back with massive e-mails and sms's to Mr. Nandu Belani. This will help create a tremendous pressure over Mr. Belani who wants to perform this henious act of demolishing a Radha Krishna temple just so that he could promote his business plans.
