ISKCON Community Life, a division of the ISKCON Congregational Development Ministry, recognized the outstanding contributions to devotee care of three very special individuals by giving them the following awards:
Trailblazer in Community Wellness Award – Rambhoru Devi (ACBSP)
Director/Founder & Training Supervisor, Karuna Care Association. After 26 years of international pioneer outreach work (while raising two sons), Rambhoru Devi completed her B.A. in Religious Studies and earned master’s degrees in Divinity and Patient Counseling. She also became a Board-Certified Chaplain and served as Director of the St. Camillus Center for Spiritual Care. Among other things, Rambhoru Devi also serves within the ISKCON Prison Ministry, corresponding with and providing Srila Prabhupada’s books to prison inmates since 2015.
The Karuna Care Association Rambhoru serves the Vaishnava community by training qualified, second-initiated devotees as lay ministers, or chaplains, equipping them with the tools to work in settings such as hospitals, hospices, prisons, assisted living homes, orphanages, and within ISKCON communities, as compassionate caregivers.
