Approximately forty devotees from around fifteen countries gathered at Villa Vrindavana, Italy, from May 9-12, 2026, for the annual ISKCON Communications Europe (ICE) Conference. Held under the theme of “Engaged Vaishnavism,” the four-day gathering brought together leaders and representatives involved in media, government relations, interfaith dialogue, and outreach to share regional updates, explore pressing challenges, and strengthen the global network of those working to represent the Krishna consciousness movement to the wider world.
The ICE Conference has long been a space for those in communications to exchange experiences and find renewed inspiration, and in recent years has expanded to welcome participants from North America, Latin America, Russia, and beyond.
“What sticks out the most is that there is a community of devotees doing communications work who like to get together and discuss important issues — issues that are not normally spoken about in daily temple life,” said Mahaprabhu Dasa, ISKCON Communications Director for Europe and conference organizer. “It is a gathering of open-minded devotees to tackle the sensitive issues our movement faces. The communications conference is a big highlight of the year for many devotees.”
