I watched a video on Utube yesterday. It was old film footage, in color, of the days of the British Raj in India. Up to the time that Lord Mountbatten withdrew after dividing the country into Pakistan and Hindustan. Jinnah and Gandhi could not come to agreement about anything. And then Nehru took the country into industrial development, against Gandhi's desire.
What amazed me was that I was born in 1946, two years before Indian independence, so I am thinking I am older than India. But now I see that certainly India is very old. We don't know how far back Indian culture (Vedic culture) extends. Brahma just celebrated the first birthday of the second half of his life, so he is 150+ trillion years old. And this is just half a breath of Vishnu. But my forefathers go back that long also. Depending on where we are from, we might be related to the fallen kshatriya races that were driven out of India by Parasurama, who then settled the outlying regions of the Earth. And besides, my soul is eternal just like everyone else's. We are all coming from the breathing of Mahavishnu, who is an expansion of an expansion of Krishna. So, we are all related, as we have a common Father (Krishna). Hare Krishna. Instead of seeing our differences, maybe we would profit more by seeing our similarities. We can all profit from hearing and chanting the glories of Bhagavan Sri Krishna, and then remembering what we have heard and chanted, etc.
