Later, during his massage Prabhupäda told me that any sex life in Vrindavana is an offence, even for married couples. He said, "We should follow the line of the Six Goswamis. Did they come here for having sex and beginning family? No. It is meant for retirement from material activity. They gave up family life and then came to Vrindavana."I was puzzled because I couldn't see how the local people could avoid it. "Well, Srila Prabhupada, what about the Brijbasis, the people who are born here?"But Prabhupäda said, "A birth here—what is that? Even the monkeys are taking birth. If they have sex life then they become these hogs, dogs, and monkeys. One may not know he is committing offence but he will still be punished."To illustrate that ignorance is no excuse, he told me a story of how, in his early youth, he passed urine by a roadside, not realizing that he was outside a police station, and that it was against the law. He began chuckling. "As I did it a policeman came: 'Oh, what are you doing, passing urine here? Now we have a case.' Next day I had to go to court and I was fined eight annas for passing urine in the street. So even if one is born in Vrindavana, if he simply lives like a grhamedhi he will suffer for it."- Courtesy (TD - Vol 4)
