Please accept my humble obeisance. All glories to Srila Prabhupada
*Vedam* (The Vedas) is the life-air of Hindus. The great Rishis by their intense *Tapas* ( Penance) have obtained the *Vedam* and passed it on through their Disciples. The well-being of this world is founded on the *Vedam*.
Unfortunately, this age of deterioration ( Kali-yuga) is not suitable for *Vedam* . Only about (6%) of the *Vedam* is presently available . All massive sufferings in this world are because of the loss of *Vedam* .
Fortunately for the world, Srimad Bhagavad Gita (song of God) contains the essence of *Vedam* . By learning and propagating Bhagavad Gita, Krishna-bhaktas are doing a great service to this world . Their intense *Nama-Japam* is so divine that, it automatically invokes Bhagavan Sri Krishna.
Bhagavan Sri Krishna says in Srimad Bhagavad Gita (18.55-57):
"It is only by bhakti that one can know the essence of My glories and forms as I am, the Supreme personality of Godhead . Having known Me in essence , Bhakta merges with Me. Though engaged in all kinds of worldly activities, My pure Bhakta, under My protection, reaches the eternal and imperishable abode by My grace. With your mind free from the false ego of being the doer, wholeheartedly offering Me all your activities, and taking shelter of resolute intelligence filled with dedication to Me, remain always absorbed in Me. "
