Material opulence is given by Lakshmi, the goddess of fortune, who always remains engaged in loving service to God, Her beloved Lord Narayana, an expansion of Krishna. By Lakshmi's grace those who fully engage their wealth in the service of God are given whatever wealth is required to engage themselves happily in His service. It is only when we engage wealth in our own selfish purposes that we experience a constricted supply. Therefore if the people of the world would like to enjoy sufficient wealth, all they have to do is engage whatever opulence they have now in the service of God. Then they will receive more and more wealth to engage in the Lord's service. Because people are not aware of this simple fact, there is so much unnecessary anxiety all over the world about a lack of money.
